ICAC has sent a number of student groups to visit the different provinces of China. Students from leading schools and professional colleges have had an opportunity to travel in the interiors of China as also interact with their peers in some of the most prestigious colleges and educational institutions in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenyang.
Students from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), New Delhi, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, Strawberry Fields School, Chandigarh and Modern School, Barakhamba Road, have in the last few years, been part of different programmes that have allowed them to learn about the Chinese educational system, experience the sprawling and well equipped institutional infrastructure, observe and learn about some of the progressive educational policies and government programmes, interact with teachers and faculty members and acquaint themselves with the opportunities that await the students who pass out of the Chinese schools and colleges. Some of the professional institutes have a sizeable foreign student population. Interacting with them is also part of the learning experience.
Some of the universities visited by these groups include the Beijing Centre for Chinese Studies, University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, Peking University, Beijing, Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, Shenyang Normal University and Shenyang Polytechnic College, China Europe International Business School, Pudong, Shanghai and Fudan University, Shanghai.
Student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research and joint programmes, student internships were some of the key agenda items for discussion.
