Partners

The India China Alliance for Cooperation, earlier known as the India China Alliance Centre, has entered into a number of meaningful collaborations with partners, both in India and in China.

While in India, partners have included the Chitkara group in Chandigarh and the Hindustan Group in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, amongst others, in China, partners have been drawn from the fields of education and higher learning (government and private), and provincial government departments. Some of the partnerships that were entered into, include:
  • ICAC signing an MoU with the Shenyang Huanggu District of Science and Technology with a view to strengthen exchange of ideas, training programmes and learning opportunities, both for China and India.
  • ICAC entering into a partnership with the Shanghai Overseas Talent Service Centre (SOTSC), which represents the Department of Personnel in the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and is backed by several leading Chinese Universities including Fudan University, Shanghai and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. As part of the agreement, exciting opportunities were offered to Indian MBA students for an 8-week International Internship Programme in Shanghai.
  • MoU between ICAC and University of International Business and Education (UIBE) promoting Sino-Indian cooperation in the field of higher education. As part of the agreement, opportunities for student and faculty exchanges would be explored
  • MoU between Shanghai Jiao Tung University (School of Media and Design) also explored the possibility of sharing knowledge and teaching methodologies
  • MoU between Shenyang Information Bureau and ICAC. As part of the cooperation agreement, SIIB stood committed to support ICAC in its multifarious activities to promote Sino Indian Economic Cooperation. Between 2007-10 ICAC, actively promoted cooperation between Indian and Shenyang-based IT firms with the objective of strengthening software outsourcing training, especially for BPOs; animation outsourcing; software export and outsourcing services (embedded software) for Japanese, South Korean, European and American markets.
  • MoU between The School of Journalism, Fudan University, Shanghai and ICAC.
  • • ICAC also signed a MoU with the Shenyang Huanggu District of Science and Technology, which represents the People’s Government of Huanggu District, and is responsible for coordinating and supervising scientific matters of the district, especially managing and developing the Shenyang Software Export base.

Future Plans

  • Opening of an office in Beijing.
  • Encouraging Indian IT software companies (SMEs) to look at China more seriously as a business opportunity specially in the area of IT Education.
  • Helping Chinese companies across Provinces to organise Export Commodity Fairs in India as also Indian companies to participate in sector specific fairs in China. ICAC could play an effective role in not just facilitating participation in these fairs but also by providing a Business to Business (B2B) platform.
  • Helping Indian MBA Students to go in for a 8 week International Internship Programme in Shanghai. ICAC will be organising these programmes with the support and cooperation of Shanghai Overseas Talent Search Centre (Shanghai Municipal People’s Government).
